This wine is made from 100% Muscat of Cephalonia and comes to us from the certified Organic and Biodynamic producer Evriviadis Sclavos, who is the driving force behind the Sclavos winery and one of the pioneers of natural wine production in Greece.
The grape varietal is cultivated vigorously in the area of Vatsa of Katogi with clayey-limestone soils in altitudes of about 50 meters. The harvest takes place at the beginning of August and is done by hand. The vinification is done in the style of orange wine i.e. with skin contact throughout the alcoholic fermentation at low temperatures in a stainless steel tank. The result of this process is an intensely aromatic character orange wine, with the best of Muscat, given density, body, a spark of acidity, and a long aftertaste.
