This wine is made from 70% Muscat of Cephalonia and 30% Vostilidi and comes to us from the certified Organic and Biodynamic producer Evriviadis Sclavos, who is the driving force behind the Sclavos winery and one of the pioneers of natural wine production in Greece.
The local grape varietals are grown biodynamically on 60-year-old vines, close to sea level in the area of Katogi on the Palli peninsula. The vineyards are cultivated in the conventional way, with plenty of vegetation surrounding the vines, which receive intense humidity at night. Harvesting takes place at the end of August.
This is a dry white style of wine, made with native yeasts that give the characteristic aroma of Muscat of Cephalonia but also the intense body of Vostilidi. It has a balanced acidity and a long aftertaste. The fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel tanks without the addition of preservatives. Bottling without filtering or additives.
You may have seen this wine at ILUKA København and Mastro in Hellerup.
